Jesse grew up in the Western states and met her husband, Scott, in Cheyenne, Wyoming who took her to Marquette. Jesse completed her Bachelor Degree in Psychology at Northern Michigan University and her Masters in Social Work at Grand Valley State University. Jesse is a wife, mother of three active children, follower of Jesus Christ.

Jessie’s career began in residential treatment for children who had been victims of abuse/neglect. This paved a way into the child welfare field where Jessie worked in the CPS, foster care and juvenile justice programs. Desiring a closer connection with children and families in-the-midst of pain, Jessie transitioned to a mental health therapist for the Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center. For the last seven years, Jessie has helped build a trauma informed clinical team and treatment program in the northern Michigan region for adults, children and families who are grappling with traumatic life experiences. Additionally, Jesse recently opened a private practice offering Christian counseling

Marge and her late husband Bill, the love of her life, raised three sons and celebrated over 60 years of marriage.

Once the boys were older, Marge served as a secretary and retired from the Wayne-Westland Schools. She enjoyed spending time as first-mate to captain Bill as they sailed their own vessel down the Atlantic to the British Virgin Isles. Upon retiring to Gaylord, they enjoyed life on Otsego Lake. Bill and Marge were involved with the VFW, Relay for Life, Road to Recovery cancer van, and the First United Methodist Church.  Marge now commits her gifts and talents to her own family and the family of the Gaylord First United Methodist Church. Marge has served as president of the United Methodist Women and is currently the president of the UWF Faith Circle.  Join Marge as she shares her life changing encounter on her Walk to Emmaus.

Judy was raised in Harbor Beach, MI, and was living a very busy life as the owner of her own business, The Flower Boutique, serving as the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, in charge of the Harbor beach Centennial Parade and Celebration, and very active in a local Baptist Church.

Enter a new, young Pastor in town. Judy and her mother soon joined the Rev. Barry Sweet's Episcopalian Church, because Judy wanted to be involved in the Bible Study Group, and the young Pastor's sermons had impressed her.

Judy has served alongside Barry as his wife for 40 years, leading Christian Education and all other duties of a pastor's wife.

The Sweets retired to Gaylord and continue to do God's work. Judy is a true blessing to GFUMC; teaching Sunday school, playing an intricate role in the UWF Women's Retreat Committee,

leading a Women's Bible Study Group, as well as being a mentor

extraordinaire.

Amy was born in Ferndale, MI and moved to Gaylord with her family when she was in 2nd grade. She graduated from Gaylord High School.  One evening a young man’s eye met Amy’s eye from across the room where he was dining in Amy’s family restaurant. The rest is history.  Today Amy is a wife and the mother of Benjamin, Asher, and Kayleigh. Amy loves being a mommy; loves to cook; and loves to entertain.

Amy enjoys camping with husband Jeremy and the kids, and the family is always ready for a new adventure.

Jeremy and Amy responded to a calling from the Lord and adopted all three of their children from birth.

Take a walk with Amy through her adoption journey as she shares about prayer and the surprising goodness

of God.
